About the role
A leading financial services group is looking for an API Integration Specialist on a contract basis. The position is hybrid, based in Cape Town (CBD) or Johannesburg, and focuses on modernising the integration landscape while supporting the migration of services from .NET to Java-based platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Modernise and enhance the integration landscape across the organisation.
- Support the migration of existing .NET services to Java‑based APIs.
Required profile
- 5–10+ years of enterprise integration experience.
- Experience converting or modernising .NET services into Java API lifecycle management.
- Proven ability to design secure APIs using OAuth2, JWT, and OpenID Connect.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns.
- Financial services or insurance domain experience is advantageous.
