Android Developer (2026) – South Africa

About the role

We are seeking an Android Developer to join a fast‑moving team that builds high‑performance mobile applications for a global user base. The role involves the full application lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, optimisation, and ongoing support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Android applications using clean, efficient, well‑documented code.
• Support the complete mobile lifecycle: planning, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with product, design, backend, and QA teams to deliver high‑quality features.
• Write and execute unit and UI tests, debug issues, and ensure stability and performance.
• Monitor app health with Crashlytics, ANR reports, and performance metrics, addressing technical issues proactively.
• Implement analytics tracking, feature rollouts, configuration management, and A/B testing.
• Maintain legacy codebases while introducing new technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work across time‑zones (GMT+2 to GMT+7 overlap).
