AI Engineering Lead

About the role

The AI Engineering Lead will head a compact AI engineering team, driving the design, development, deployment, and optimisation of AI and machine learning solutions across the organisation. This senior position blends hands‑on technical work with strategic oversight to deliver scalable, AI‑powered products that align with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement AI strategies that support corporate objectives.
• Establish engineering standards, governance, and best practices for AI development.
• Design, develop, and launch AI, ML and generative AI solutions.
• Oversee the full AI lifecycle—from model creation to production monitoring.
• Implement MLOps pipelines for efficient model deployment and maintenance.
• Evaluate and adopt new AI tools, frameworks, and cloud technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 8+ years of software engineering or machine‑learning experience.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership or management role.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise‑scale AI/ML solutions.
• Experience working in Azure cloud environments.

• GitHub‑based team workflow.
• Large Language Model (LLM) integration, voice pipelines (STT/TTS), and generative AI.
• TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit‑learn, LangChain.

• Hugging Face ecosystem and evaluation frameworks.
• Vector databases, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), and AI agents.
