Agri Manager - Palm Oil Operations, Indonesia

About the role

A South African candidate is sought for a permanent Agri Manager (Agronomist) position in the Palm Oil Estates Operations team of a leading agricultural company based in Indonesia. The role is hands-on and covers large-scale field operations, and is open to anyone based anywhere in South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily field activities, including planting, harvesting, crop care and road maintenance.
• Ensure efficient transport of harvested fruit from the estate to the mills.
• Analyse productivity data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and upskill a team of 50-150 field workers across 500-2,300 hectares.
• Contribute to a culture of accountability, collaboration and performance excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or a related field.
• 3-5 years' experience in agriculture or field-based operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Independent, proactive, eager to learn and results-oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-culturally; open to learning new languages and living in a remote location.
• Single and adventurous, with a love for the outdoors and sports.
