AEI Engineer – Automation, Electrical & Instrumentation

About the role

The AEI Engineer provides technical expertise and support for automation, electrical and instrumentation systems within the Standerton plant. The role ensures optimal performance, reliability and safety, while supporting operations to improve system availability and reduce downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for automation, electrical and instrumentation systems and troubleshoot failures.
• Monitor critical instrumentation, manage spare parts and support preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Maintain and update maintenance systems such as CMMS and SAP.
• Identify and implement improvement projects, support shutdowns and system upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental standards and participate in risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance and engineering activities and generate performance reports.
• Supervise technicians and contractors, providing technical guidance and coaching.

Required profile

• Grade 12.
• Bachelor’s Degree or B‑Tech in Electrical, Electronic or related field.
