Advancing Financial Adviser (Bloemfontein / Welkom / Colesberg)

About the role

Old Mutual is recruiting an Advancing Financial Adviser based in Bloemfontein, Welkom or Colesberg. The role covers customer service, prospecting and relationship building, with a focus on clarifying customer needs and developing relationships through consultative selling.

Key responsibilities

• Handle simple customer inquiries and refer more complex matters to colleagues
• Check that basic customer details in the system are accurate and record follow-up actions and notes from each sales call
• Interview customers using a multilevel sales script to clarify their requirements
• Call allocated potential customers by telephone or in person to build relationships and act as first point of contact for queries and complaints
• Follow mandatory procedures to meet quality standards and comply with external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct
• Support business development and identify potential customers through information, referrals and recommendations from existing customers
• Select data from others and enter it into spreadsheets or standard formats
• Take part in a network of people, technologies and ideas inside and outside the company

Required profile

• NQF Level 5 qualification (Higher, Advance or Occupational Certificate) or equivalent (required)
• Appointments are made from the designated group in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the specific business unit
