Advanced Nurse Practitioner / Clinical Practitioner – Bank (Band 7)

About the role

The Flow Navigation Centre (FNC) within NHS Scotland is seeking experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP) or Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP) on a bank basis. This Band 7 position offers the opportunity to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment, supporting safe patient assessment, clinical decision‑making and efficient flow through the service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide autonomous clinical assessment and decision‑making for patients entering the FNC.
• Manage patient flow, ensuring timely navigation, escalation and discharge where appropriate.
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to support safe and effective care.
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of clinical practice.

Required profile

• Current registration with the NMC or HCPC.
• Proven experience working within a Flow Navigation Centre or similar fast‑track environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
