About the role

Afrimat CM Western Cape is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a fixed‑term 12‑month contract at its Tygervalley head office. The role supports daily office operations, ensuring efficient handling of documents, data entry and filing systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Check, sort and distribute incoming documents and correspondence.
  • Maintain filing and paper‑trail systems, including delivery notes.
  • Perform sequence checks and enter data into databases.
  • Update and maintain internal databases.
  • Assist the sales and debtors departments with ad‑hoc tasks.
  • Ensure accurate document handling and distribution.
  • Support general office administration tasks.

Required profile

  • Minimum Grade 12 education.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and basic accounting procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
  • Ability to work analytically under pressure.
  • Good administrative capabilities.

Required skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook.
