Acquisition Management Officer – Quotations

About the role

The Road Accident Fund is seeking an Officer in Acquisition Management (Quotations) to support its procurement function. The role focuses on acquiring goods, services and works within prescribed thresholds, ensuring compliance with SCM legislation and delivering value to the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and verify application requests and compile Request for Quotation (RFQ) documents.
• Issue RFQs to suppliers, manage responses, and conduct evaluations.
• Maintain purchase requisitions in the system, create purchase orders, and follow up on deliveries.
• Prepare Bid Adjudication Committee submissions and weekly reporting templates.
• Stay updated on SCM legislative frameworks and support price negotiations with suppliers.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and arrange evaluation meetings for complex RFQs.
• Communicate with suppliers to ensure accurate and timely order processing.
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and stakeholder inquiries.
• Archive procurement documents and ensure proper records management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field not specified).
• Understanding of procurement and supply chain management processes.
• Ability to interpret and apply legislative requirements related to procurement.
