Accounts Payable Graduate – Finance Role

About the role

Alistair Group, a fast‑growing logistics and supply‑chain provider in East and Southern Africa, is seeking a Finance Graduate to join its Accounts Payable department. The role will support the end‑to‑end creditors function across multiple countries, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier and subcontractor invoices.

Key responsibilities

• Review, verify and capture high‑volume supplier and subcontractor invoices.
• Prepare and execute monthly, bi‑weekly and ad‑hoc payment runs in multiple currencies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor and subcontractor inquiries, resolving payment status questions and discrepancies.
• Reconcile vendor statements on a bi‑weekly and monthly basis, identifying missing invoices or credits.
• Assist with month‑end closing activities, including journal entries and supporting documentation.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑currency environment.

Required skills

• SAP (or similar ERP) for invoice processing and payments.
