Accounts Payable (AP) Supervisor - Manufacturing

About the role

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will coordinate and reconcile operational, settlement and financial processes linked to precious metal purchasing and trading. The role ensures accurate administration of metal receipts, supplier settlements, trade fulfilment, inventory movements, invoicing and cash‑flow forecasting while maintaining strong financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain daily operational cash‑flow forecasts.
• Participate in production and operations meetings to capture expected metal receipts and funding needs.
• Align cash‑flow requirements with production plans and supplier payment obligations.
• Monitor incoming customer receipts and allocate funds against invoices, shipments and UCR references.
• Record and reconcile all cash movements related to purchases and sales.
• Review and reconcile precious‑metal receipts against purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Ensure correct fees are applied according to supplier agreements.
• Validate assay results for final supplier settlements.
• Review supplier payment reconciliations, process payment requests and ensure timely settlements.
• Process supplier credit notes, settlement adjustments and manage account reconciliations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounts payable and accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience or exposure to metals, mining, refinery or commodity trading is advantageous.
• Dependable, adaptable, strong team collaborator with effective communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Sage, Pastel Evolution or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong data analysis, reconciliation and analytical abilities.
• Excellent numerical and problem‑solving capability.
