Accounting Services Manager

About the role

Apex Group is seeking an Accounting Services Manager to lead financial reporting for its alternative assets and private debt teams in Cape Town. Reporting to an Associate Director, you will mentor team members, implement procedures, and ensure high‑quality client service.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑manage day‑to‑day financial reporting and portfolio management for Cape Town teams.
• Oversee specialised services, ensuring compliance with laws, contracts and regulatory obligations.
• Coordinate NAV preparation, management reporting and statutory reporting with senior management.
• Perform quality control on payments, calculations and transactions before final approval.
• Develop and implement entity‑specific reporting procedures and maintain divisional policies.
• Monitor daily tasks, delegate work and ensure timely completion of all reporting activities.

Required profile

• Significant experience in financial reporting within fund administration or related fields.
• Proven ability to develop and mentor junior team members.
• Strong understanding of compliance, statutory requirements and client service excellence.
