Accounting Officer

About the role

The Accounting Officer will serve as the main point of contact for TMF Group’s Netherlands‑based clients on all financial, accounting and tax matters. Working closely with a Legal Officer and under the supervision of the Supervisor Accounting, the role combines client relationship management with the delivery of accurate accounting services.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, notaries, advisors, banks, regulators and other stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted advisor by monitoring client activities and identifying opportunities to enhance relationships and services.
• Provide comprehensive financial, accounting and administrative support tailored to client needs.
• Maintain and manage financial records, databases and computerized administrations.
• Prepare and post journal entries and ensure accurate bookkeeping in line with regulations and policies.
• Produce statutory financial statements and client‑specific reports.
• Support cash management, including bank account and payment administration.
• Prepare and submit reports to regulatory bodies such as the Chamber of Commerce, Dutch Central Bank and Tax Authorities.
• Coordinate and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, lawyers and other external parties; handle audit processes and support completion of external audits.
• Identify issues, risks or inconsistencies and proactively resolve them.
• Prepare tax notifications (income tax, dividend tax, VAT where applicable) and ensure timely filings and organized documentation.
• Participate in client meetings and independently manage assigned tasks.
