Accounting Officer (Full-time, Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Accounting Officer to join our globally‑distributed finance team. The role is fully remote and involves processing day‑to‑day accounting transactions, supporting month‑end and year‑end close, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, bank transactions, supplier invoices, employee expense claims and customer invoices in the ERP system.
• Prepare payment proposals following internal approval procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing by preparing journals, accruals, pre‑payments and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Perform bank and general‑ledger reconciliations, resolve routine discrepancies and respond to accounting enquiries.
• Assist statutory reporting, VAT and other indirect‑tax filings, and monitor data quality.
• Escalate complex accounting issues to senior team members when necessary.

Required profile

• Proven experience processing accounts payable and bank transactions.
• Familiarity with ERP systems for invoice processing and journal entry posting.
• Ability to prepare month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Understanding of VAT, indirect tax filing requirements and statutory reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
