Accountant – Property Development Group

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join a leading property development, investment and management group. The successful candidate will work closely with the Group Financial Manager and subsidiary Financial Managers, providing essential support for accurate financial reporting, asset management and cash‑flow planning across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the comprehensive asset register and perform depreciation calculations, including the tax asset register, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Prepare and update cash‑flow forecasts for all group companies and individual property portfolios, supporting strategic decision‑making.
• Provide day‑to‑day assistance to the Group Financial Manager and Financial Managers, handling routine accounting tasks and queries.
• Support the year‑end closing process, including finalisation of accounts and preparation of statutory reports.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting degree with SAICA Articles (mandatory).
• Minimum three years of commercial accounting experience outside of audit or accounting firms.
• Fluent written and spoken Afrikaans.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Caseware (mandatory).
