Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to join our finance department, supporting multiple business units with a range of accounting services. The role involves independent work as well as collaboration with the team to deliver accurate financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process journal entries, including accruals and provisions, to the general ledger.
• Maintain and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, sub‑ledgers for debtors and creditors, and cash‑sales accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate cash positioning.
• Develop monthly forecasts and update them based on operational changes.
• Compile and review financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, cash‑flow statements and expense reports.
• Prepare and distribute monthly management packs.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets with input from branch teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Financial Accounting or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.

Required skills

• SAP accounting system experience.
