About the role
Our client is a well‑established manufacturing organisation in Johannesburg seeking an Accountant to support the finance function. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions and assisting with month‑end and year‑end reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial reports and reconciliations.
- Process journals, accruals and general ledger transactions.
- Perform bank, creditor and debtor reconciliations.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and records.
- Provide assistance during internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities as required.
Required profile
- BCom Accounting degree (honours advantageous).
- 1–3 years of experience in an accounting or junior accountant role.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with reconciliations, journal entries and month‑end processes.
