Accountant – Fund Accounting

About the role

This position is aimed at professional accountants with at least two years of experience in fund accounting or audit, preferably with exposure to Lux GAAP. The role supports a portfolio of fund structures, handling NAV calculations, investor reporting, and statutory statements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monthly/quarterly NAV preparation and investor report reconciliation.
• Bookkeep complex fund structures, management companies, and related entities.
• Respond to investor, client, and audit queries.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and supporting transaction documentation.
• Calculate drawdowns and distributions on an ad‑hoc basis.
• Maintain records in Allvue/NavOne and Caseware/Excel working papers.
• Support onboarding and training of junior staff.
• Monitor task lists, manage workload, and communicate progress to supervisors.
• Ensure confidentiality, compliance with internal procedures, and adherence to professional and ethical standards.

Required profile

• SAIPA, AGSA or equivalent professional qualification.
• 2+ years of experience in financial services, preferably within fund accounting or audit.
• Strong academic background and numeracy.
• Knowledge of Lux GAAP is advantageous.
• Experience with capital markets, real estate, debt or private‑equity funds is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets.
• Experience with Allvue or NavOne systems.
• Familiarity with Caseware working‑paper schedules.
• IT literacy – word processing, email, internet and database software.
• Understanding of Lux GAAP accounting standards.
