Accountant – Financial Operations & Reporting

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to join ACCIONA Energía’s finance team. The role will ensure accurate financial and accounting operations, support decision‑making and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Record and monitor customer and supplier invoices, ensuring correct allocation and timely payment/collection.
• Prepare periodic financial reports with basic analysis of income, expenses and balance sheets.
• Monitor cash flow and treasury activities, anticipating liquidity needs.
• Assist in monthly and annual closing, posting income, expenses, amortisations and provisions.
• Support tax compliance and filing under supervision of the tax department.
• Maintain and archive financial documentation for internal and external audits.
• Identify and implement process automation and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct budget variance analysis and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with management control, tax and audit teams to ensure data integrity.

Required profile

• Advanced vocational training in Administration and Finance or a university degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish at B2 level.

Required skills

• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP.
• Knowledge of PowerBI for reporting and data visualisation.
