Accountant - Durban

About the role

We’re looking for a detail-driven Accountant to join a growing finance team and take ownership of key accounting functions. If you’re confident with reconciliations, reporting and day-to-day financial processes, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and draft annual financial statements on CaseWare for several clients
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with IFRS, Companies Act, and SARS requirements
• Work closely with clients, directors, and internal divisions to resolve queries
• Perform quality checks and reviews of financial statements before submission
• Prepare supporting schedules and reconciliations and finalize working paper files
• Keep up to date with changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements and apply them within the team

Required profile

• 3-5 years’ experience
• BCom or similar qualification
• Completion of SAIPA or SAICA articles
• CaseWare experience is beneficial
