Account Manager II - Key Accounts

About the role

RELX is looking for a client-focused Key Account Manager to lead post-sale relationships with law firms, corporates and public-sector customers across the Southern African Development Community region. You will drive client retention, contract renewals, upsell growth and reduced churn, working closely with Business Development Managers and Solution Specialists to move customers from acquisition to long-term value.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary post-sale contact, create account plans and coordinate onboarding, training and product adoption
• Maintain retention, monitor contract expiry dates and lead renewal negotiations, identify at-risk accounts and run win-back processes
• Deliver quarterly and annual renewal revenue targets
• Identify cross-sell opportunities, partner with Business Development Managers and Solution Specialists, and deepen the customer footprint
• Maintain accurate CRM records, give weekly pipeline updates and renewal forecasts, and represent the customer in product feedback and roadmap discussions

Required profile

• At least three years' experience in B2B account management or customer success, ideally in SaaS, legal technology or compliance solutions
• A proven record of delivering renewal and upsell revenue
• Bachelor's degree; Business, Communications or Law preferred
• Knowledge of the SADC legal, compliance and corporate environment

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce or an equivalent CRM platform
• Strong relationship management, negotiation, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to interpret usage data, account metrics and KPIs
