Account Manager – Employee Assistance Programs

About the role

Lyra Health Southern Africa is looking for an Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and wellbeing services clients. Based in Cape Town on a hybrid schedule, the role focuses on client retention, risk mitigation and portfolio growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of large corporate clients, leading programme launches, contract negotiations and ongoing strategic management.
• Ensure excellent customer service and experience by coordinating with internal Lyra departments to deliver diversified services.
• Identify and mitigate client risks, turning potential issues into commercial opportunities.
• Drive portfolio growth by spotting and pursuing additional business units, headcounts or service extensions.
• Maintain accurate client data in Lyra systems, collaborate with finance for timely invoicing, and oversee client budgets and renewal negotiations.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and at least one additional African language.
• Minimum 3 years experience in customer relationship management and in Employee Assistance Programme delivery.
• Valid driving licence with access to a vehicle.
• Relevant tertiary qualification and a conceptual understanding of business strategy (desirable).
• Project‑management experience and a professional, detail‑oriented, customer‑focused attitude.
