Account Director - Associate

About the role

The Account Director - Associate partners with multiple departments to ensure revenue and operating costs are reported in line with IFRS standards and company policy. This part‑time position supports the CFO and senior management by providing commercial and financial oversight, monitoring performance against budgets, and maintaining clear communication between finance and business units.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strategic financial plans with finance and management teams and provide insight into performance.
• Assist accounts receivable in managing working capital to meet DSO targets.
• Provide commercial and financial input for bid preparations and contract negotiations.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, contracts, revenue reporting and monthly financial statements.
• Analyse financial data to assess past performance and project future outcomes.
• Maintain monthly department packs, balance‑sheet reconciliations and aged debtor reviews.

Required profile

• Qualified cost and management accountant (or similar) with 4‑6 years’ experience in professional services, preferably in the construction sector.
• Studying towards CIMA or CA(SA) qualification.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Good knowledge of accounting systems and processes.
