Academic Support Coordinator (School of Project Management)

About the role

The Academic Support Coordinator will support the School of Project Management by overseeing academic content, assisting students, and ensuring quality across our online distance‑learning platform. Based in Durban, the role works closely with lecturers, academic managers and the admissions team to deliver a seamless learning experience.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate development, upload, and ongoing maintenance of all academic resources on the Learner Management System (LMS).
• Monitor student progress, identify “at‑risk” learners, and facilitate targeted interventions and support webinars.
• Manage administrative tasks such as lecture planning, school meetings, and tracking of credit transfer requests.
• Conduct quality assurance of academic content, prepare reports and recommendations, and resolve escalated queries within service level agreements.
• Collaborate with academic staff and the school manager to organise events, programme reviews and benchmarking activities.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Experience in higher‑education support or administration is desirable.

Required skills

• Learner Management System (LMS) administration.
