12‑Month Government Internship Programme – Various Fields

About the role

The Department of Military Veterans is offering a 12‑month internship programme for the 2017/18 intake. The programme targets unemployed South African graduates aged 18‑35 and aims to develop practical skills across a range of functional areas.

Required profile

• Applicants must hold a degree or diploma in one of the listed fields such as Financial Management, Audit and Risk Management, Research Methodology, Policy Management, Supply Chain Management, Communications, Strategic Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation, Skills Development, Compliance, Security Management, ICT, or Office Administration.
• Graduates must be between 18 and 35 years old and currently unemployed.
• Military veterans and their dependents are encouraged to apply, with preference given to veterans.
• Candidates must submit the Z83 application form together with a comprehensive CV, certified copies of qualifications, service certificates, driver’s licence and ID document.
• Foreign qualifications must be accompanied by a SAQA evaluation report; non‑South African citizens must provide proof of permanent residence.
• Applicants must disclose any pending criminal, disciplinary or adverse investigations and provide at least three references with contact details.
• Successful candidates will be subject to pre‑employment security screening and verification of qualifications.
