About the role
Triton Fleet Management, part of the Plennegy Group, is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead its Johannesburg workshop. The role involves overseeing daily workshop operations, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high‑quality service to internal and external customers.
Key responsibilities
- Manage workshop operations and productivity.
- Supervise staff, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain quality control and adherence to OEM standards.
- Ensure health and safety legislation is followed.
- Handle customer service and client liaison.
- Control inventory and assets.
- Oversee compliance and administrative tasks.
Required profile
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Trade test certificate (Diesel mechanic).
- Valid driver’s licence.
- 5–8 years experience in a motor workshop.
- 2–3 years in a supervisory or management role.
Required skills
- Diesel mechanic expertise.
- Proficiency with job card systems and workshop software.
- Knowledge of OEM standards and procedures.
- Technical diagnostic ability.
- Understanding of health and safety legislation.
