Welder and Maintenance Worker

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Welder and Maintenance Worker to join our construction sites in the Parktown area. The role combines metal fabrication with general handyman duties, ensuring equipment reliability and supporting project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding to fabricate and repair metal structures.
• Carry out basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks as needed on site.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery and resolve issues proactively.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical problems.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, materials used, and time spent.
• Follow all safety regulations while welding and performing maintenance work.

Required profile

• Proven experience in welding and general maintenance within the construction industry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Residency within the Johannesburg area (within 25 km of Parktown).
• Grade 12 or equivalent; welding certification preferred.
