About the role

We are seeking a skilled Website Developer to join our client’s team in Johannesburg. The role involves creating, maintaining and continuously improving both front‑end and back‑end aspects of the company’s web properties to deliver high‑performance digital experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Build, manage and maintain company websites, ensuring optimal functionality, usability and performance.
• Update website content, images and structure in line with brand guidelines.
• Implement SEO best practices, including metadata optimization, site speed improvements, mobile responsiveness and structured data.
• Monitor and resolve performance issues, bugs or errors promptly.
• Collaborate with marketing, creative and content teams to launch design assets, campaign pages and digital initiatives.
• Integrate third‑party platforms such as analytics tools, CRM systems, e‑commerce functionalities and plugins, ensuring compatibility and smooth operation.
• Apply security measures to protect sites and ensure compliance with POPIA and GDPR.
• Track website traffic and user behaviour using Google Analytics and provide regular insight reports.

Required profile

• Relevant diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• 2–3 years proven experience in web development.
• Professional conduct, clear and timely communication, problem‑solving, adaptability and commitment to quality and user experience.
