Warehouse Supervisor – Cape Town Depot

About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee loading and off‑loading operations at the Cape Town depot of FP du Toit Transport Group, reporting to the Depot Manager. The role includes managing staff, claims, reverse logistics and maintaining warehouse cleanliness.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise loading and off‑loading of freight from line‑haul trucks and delivery vehicles.
• Debrief delivery drivers after each route.
• Investigate and administer freight claims.
• Manage reverse‑logistics processes.
• Oversee staff time‑management and scheduling.
• Produce up‑to‑date on‑floor reports through daily follow‑ups.
• Support and delegate tasks to load supervisors, forklift drivers and freight controllers.
• Ensure warehouse and yard are kept clean.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification with at least 23 points.
• 2–3 years experience in warehousing and courier operations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Honesty, integrity and a presentable appearance.
• South African citizenship.
• Willingness to work overtime.

Required skills

• Computer skills.
• Knowledge of Parcel Perfect software (advantageous).
