Warehouse Manager

About the role

Our client, an importer and distributor of high‑tech scientific and IT equipment operating from Linbropark, Gauteng, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager. You will lead a team of about 15 staff across regional branches and the head‑office warehouse, ensuring efficient distribution of high‑value items.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse, receipting and dispatch staff, including drivers.
• Oversee space management, receiving, handling, storing, picking and packing while maintaining quality standards.
• Ensure accurate receipting, country‑of‑origin checks and proper shelf labeling.
• Monitor weekly stock turns and verify supplier paperwork against warehouse stock lists.
• Prepare loading paperwork, request packing lists and invoices, and resolve discrepancies with the buying office.
• Manage vehicle maintenance, route planning and fuel efficiency.
• Maintain forklift service schedules and ensure operational safety.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification related to logistics or supply chain.
• 5–7 years of experience managing a warehouse handling high‑priced line items from multiple suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of transport methods, packaging, costs and benefits.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Pastel and Excel for inventory and financial tracking.
• Valid forklift licence and experience operating forklifts.
