Warehouse Manager – Balfour

Karan Beef in Balfour is looking for a Warehouse Manager for our facility in Balfour, responsible for the boxed and off‑al loading department. Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the ULMA Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Control palletisation of all boxes and crates entering the warehouse, complying with company procedures and product handling standards.
• Oversee placement, storage and movement of pallets to maximise capacity and maintain stock integrity.
• Control receipt, processing and dispatch of customer orders through the WMS, ensuring accurate and timely fulfilment.
• Coordinate stock counts, investigate variances and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Administer user access on the ULMA system, allocating, modifying and removing permissions as required.
• Report faulty equipment, system failures and operational defects promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organised work area that meets housekeeping, food safety and health‑safety standards.
• Train and coach warehouse staff on ULMA functions and operational responsibilities.
• Enforce SOPs, HACCP documentation and food‑safety records, and monitor compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification; higher qualifications preferred.
• At least 10 years of warehouse management experience in the FMCG industry.
• Experience managing large teams (150+ employees) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of FMCG, cold‑chain logistics and WMS systems.
• Proven leadership, people‑management and communication abilities.
• Analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Clean criminal record and a valid driver’s licence.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and ERP/WMS systems.
