Warehouse Lead – Logistics & Safety Operations

About the role

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for ensuring safe, high‑quality, and efficient warehouse operations, supporting both inbound and outbound logistics while meeting internal and external stakeholder service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Own territorial safety within logistics operations, including shiftly stacking inspections and fleet system monitoring (e.g., FMX).
• Conduct safety behaviour observations, set and track SIF precursor targets, and ensure compliance with Department of Labour stacking exemptions.
• Implement and monitor VPO and DPO quality and excellence programmes, ensuring batch traceability and adherence to quality standards.
• Perform quality checks on raw materials, finished goods, and inbound loads, verifying best‑before dates and freshness rotation (FEFO).
• Execute daily stock counts using handheld terminals (HHT) for finished goods, raw materials, and empties, and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and ERP records.
• Verify inbound loads for quantity, quality, and age standards, record returns, and process goods receipt notes (GRN) in SAP.
• Monitor delivery schedules, inbound repack plans, and escalate issues to suppliers or control rooms as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete required reporting, including abnormality reports and problem‑solving analyses (5 WHY, PDCA).
