About the role
Absolute Pets, a leading premium pet food and accessories retailer in South Africa, is seeking a Warehouse Driver Assistant (Code 10) to support deliveries from its Cape Town warehouse.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure timely deliveries to stores according to the route schedule.
- Depart the warehouse by 09:00 AM each weekday (Monday‑Friday).
- Load the vehicle in an organised manner based on the day’s delivery route.
- Check and verify all food items during loading.
- Deliver correct stock to stores and oversee store verification of items.
- Handle products carefully to minimise damage during loading and off‑loading.
- Report any discrepancies encountered on the route to the warehouse manager.
- Verify returned stock against the IBT document and note any differences.
- Maintain a neat and tidy delivery vehicle at all times.
- Report vehicle damages or breakages promptly to the warehouse manager.
- Assist with additional general warehouse duties as needed.
Required profile
- Code 10 certification with PDP.
- Proven experience as a delivery vehicle driver.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
