Warehouse Controller – Finished Goods

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Controller to manage finished‑goods operations in a manufacturing environment. The role involves overseeing receiving, storage, inventory control, packing and dispatch while leading warehouse staff to meet productivity, quality, safety and customer‑service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate warehouse and packing staff, allocating work and managing attendance.
• Plan and monitor the receiving, storage, packing and dispatch of finished goods.
• Ensure accurate counting, picking, packing, labelling and dispatch of products.
• Maintain stock records, conduct regular counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Apply FIFO rotation, monitor product quality and handle damaged or non‑conforming items.
• Maintain product traceability, labelling and warehouse documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Prepare performance reports and investigate customer complaints.
• Support audits, ISO QMS, 5S, Lean and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Planning, Procurement, Logistics and Sales.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent; diploma or certificate in Warehouse Management, Logistics or Supply Chain is advantageous.
• 3–5 years of warehouse operations experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Previous supervisory experience, preferably in injection moulding or plastics manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and/or ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong stock control and inventory management capabilities.
• Knowledge of 5S, Lean or continuous‑improvement methodologies.
