Warehouse Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Assistant to support the efficient operation of our North West Branch parts warehouse. You will handle receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching earthmoving machinery parts while maintaining accurate inventory records and delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming earthmoving machinery parts and components.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer and workshop orders for dispatch.
• Assist with safe loading and off‑loading of deliveries.
• Maintain accurate stock records and participate in regular stock takes.
• Ensure correct storage, identification, and organization of parts.
• Keep the warehouse clean and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Support technicians, the workshop, and the sales team with parts requests.
• Report stock shortages, damages, and discrepancies.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• 2–3 years of experience in a warehouse or stores environment, preferably in earthmoving, mining, construction, agricultural, or heavy‑equipment sectors.
• Knowledge of earthmoving machinery parts is advantageous.
• Computer literacy with experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
• Valid driver’s licence; forklift licence is advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to handle heavy parts safely.
