Waiter – Upscale Hospitality – Winelands, Western Cape

About the role

We are seeking a professional Waiter/Waitress to join an upscale hospitality team serving the Winelands region of the Western Cape. The successful candidate will deliver attentive, courteous service to distinguished guests throughout their dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus and wine lists, and ensure tables are properly set.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system and relay them promptly to kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve meals and drinks within specified timeframes, clear tables, and offer desserts and coffee.
• Upsell where appropriate, bill guests accurately, and maintain a clean, hygienic dining environment.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• At least 3 years of waitstaff experience in a similar upscale setting.
• Basic knowledge of wine regions and ability to discuss wine selections.
• Professional appearance, strong customer‑service orientation, and ability to interact with distinguished clientele.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a POS (point‑of‑sale) system.
