Visual Merchandiser – Retail (Cape Town)

About the role

Join a leading fashion retailer as a Visual Merchandiser at their head office in Cape Town. You will create high‑impact visual displays that turn the store into a powerful marketing vehicle, driving sales and enhancing the customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage visual merchandising budgets for store updates, new openings and concept roll‑outs, obtaining supplier quotes.
• Develop and execute seasonal visual merchandising principles and key promotion concepts.
• Support window installations, in‑store merchandising, and the assembly of marketing materials.
• Collaborate with Buying, Planning, Marketing and Operations teams to translate buying strategies into visual strategies.
• Provide store‑specific layout solutions that align with visual guidelines.
• Assist regional visual managers in achieving regional targets.
• Monitor stock performance and provide feedback to the visual merchandising team.
• Ensure timely and cost‑effective ordering of visual equipment for new and refurbished stores.
• Participate in new store design meetings and contribute creative ideas.

Required profile

• Matriculation (high school) with a relevant qualification considered advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years of visual merchandising experience, preferably at head‑office level.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Project management and organisational abilities.
• Creative flair with a commercial mindset.
• Own transport and a valid driver’s licence.
