Vinyl Technician / Vehicle Wrap Installer – Johannesburg

About the role

Our client is a premium automotive styling and vehicle customisation company seeking an experienced Vinyl Technician / Vehicle Wrap Installer to join their Johannesburg team. The role involves applying high‑quality vinyl wraps to both passenger and commercial vehicles while maintaining a flawless finish.

Key responsibilities

• Apply full and partial vinyl wraps to passenger and commercial vehicles.
• Complete colour changes, accent wraps, stripes and chrome‑delete installations.
• Install vehicle branding, graphics, decals and fleet signage.
• Prepare, clean and inspect vehicle surfaces before application.
• Accurately cut, position, stretch and finish vinyl around complex panels and contours.
• Remove existing vinyl without damaging paintwork.
• Identify and correct bubbles, lifting, creases and alignment issues.
• Maintain tools, equipment and a clean workshop environment.
• Inspect completed work to ensure a flawless finish and meet project deadlines.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of hands‑on automotive vinyl wrapping experience.
• Proven track record of completing full vehicle wraps.
• Experience with premium cast vinyl in matte, gloss, satin, metallic and specialty finishes.
• Valid driver’s licence preferred.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime or Saturdays when required.
• Portfolio or photographs of completed wrapping work.

• Knifeless tape application.
• Vinyl‑cutting tools proficiency.
• Handling premium cast vinyl (matte, gloss, satin, metallic, specialty finishes).
