About the role

An established and well‑equipped veterinary practice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join its growing team. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a busy small‑animal environment, enjoys collaborative work and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to small‑animal patients.
• Assist veterinarians with consultations, procedures and surgical cases.
• Prepare and monitor patients before, during and after procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Assist with laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
• Educate and support clients on appropriate patient care.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control.
• Support the veterinary team in the smooth day‑to‑day running of the practice.

Required profile

• Qualified Veterinary Nurse registered with the SAVC.
• Previous small‑animal practice experience (advantageous).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Compassionate approach to animal and client care.
• Calm, organised and efficient in a busy practice.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
