Vehicle Sales Executive

About the role

To achieve vehicle sales targets through the effective promotion and sale of new and/or used vehicles while delivering exceptional customer service. The Vehicle Sales Executive is responsible for generating leads, building customer relationships, conducting vehicle demonstrations, negotiating sales, and ensuring a professional customer experience throughout the sales process.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly and annual vehicle sales targets.
• Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, networking, and follow‑up activities.
• Convert customer enquiries into vehicle sales.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of vehicle specifications, features, pricing and promotions.
• Conduct professional vehicle presentations and test drives.
• Negotiate vehicle sales and financing options within company guidelines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Deliver excellent customer service before, during and after the sale.
• Handle customer complaints and queries professionally and efficiently.
• Complete all sales documentation accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies, finance regulations and legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate customer records in the dealership CRM system and prepare sales reports as required.
• Stay informed of industry trends, competitor offerings and market developments.
• Attend product training and sales development programmes.
• Promote additional dealership products and services, including warranties, service plans and accessories.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
• Relevant sales or customer service qualification (advantageous).
• Minimum of 3 years’ sales experience with a proven track record of achieving targets.
• Valid South African driver’s licence.
• Basic computer literacy and experience with CRM systems.

• Basic salary ranging from R10 500.00 to R15 000.00, based on qualifications and experience.
