Vehicle Parts Manager – Stores (Pretoria)

About the role

The Transport Company is seeking an experienced Vehicle Parts Manager to lead the Stores function at its Pretoria Business Unit. You will be responsible for overseeing inventory, distribution, and vehicle maintenance while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Control all Distribution Stores operations and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Manage transportation, delivery, and proper handling of consignments to the Business Unit.
• Oversee maintenance, utilization and replacement of delivery vehicles.
• Implement Occupational Health and Safety policies and ensure correct store layout.
• Assist in budget planning, monitor expenditures and coordinate bi‑annual stock‑takes.
• Plan, allocate and manage staff according to operational priorities.
• Control claim registers, outstanding orders, month‑end accruals and salvage units.
• Monitor oil, anti‑freeze and diesel levels across three depots and manage tools inventory.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Tertiary qualification in Inventory Control.
• At least 8 years of inventory experience with relevant supervisory experience.
