Vacation Analyst 1

About the role

The Vacation Analyst 1 role supports Nedbank’s investment philosophy by conducting data analysis, research and providing insight to internal and external stakeholders. It is designed for a postgraduate or final‑year university candidate who is eager to develop a career in investment banking.

Key responsibilities

• Assess client needs and propose data‑driven solutions.
• Prepare and deliver business presentations to stakeholders.
• Compile, maintain and monitor economic and industry data series.
• Make investment recommendations using quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Identify process, system and policy improvement opportunities and support their implementation.
• Evaluate fund and investment performance through regular financial reviews.
• Develop software proficiency to produce required outputs.
• Stay informed on legislative and industry changes and incorporate them into work.

Required profile

• Postgraduate qualification or final year of a four‑year degree program (preferably in finance, economics or a related field).
• South African citizenship.
• No prior work experience required.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret complex data.
