About the role
Auburn University Facilities Management seeks a dedicated Utility Systems Technician to support the reliable operation of campus utility infrastructure. You will play a key part in installing, operating, and maintaining essential water, gas, stormwater, and sewer systems, ensuring safety and continuity for the university community.
Key responsibilities
- Locate and map underground utilities across campus.
- Perform routine inspections and minor repairs on water, gas, stormwater, and sewer networks.
- Install, calibrate, and maintain utility meters and related equipment.
- Collect accurate utility data for reporting and analysis.
- Assist with emergency response efforts involving utility systems.
Required profile
- Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on safety and reliability.
- Enjoys hands‑on technical work in a campus environment.
- Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
