Utility II Operator – Manufacturing (5 positions)

About the role

Our client is looking for skilled Utility II Operators to run, maintain and support production equipment in a manufacturing environment based in Uitenhage. The role focuses on ensuring machines operate efficiently, minimizing downtime and supporting production targets while maintaining product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, set up and maintain production machinery according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance to achieve optimal output and product quality.
• Perform basic maintenance, fault‑finding and corrective actions to reduce breakdowns.
• Ensure extraction, cooling and related systems function effectively.
• Complete production logs, job cards and required documentation accurately.
• Adhere to safety, housekeeping and company compliance standards.
• Report equipment faults, risks and operational concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric (NQF 4) qualification.
• Trade Tested Artisan qualification (NQF 5).
• Minimum three years’ experience as an operator in a manufacturing setting.
• Basic computer literacy with experience in MS Office; SAP/ERP knowledge is advantageous.
