About the role
Ubuntu Local Municipality, with its headquarters in Victoria West, is advertising a vacancy for a Unit Manager in Richmond through its Financial Services Directorate. The post reports directly to the Municipal Manager but functionsally to each Head of Department as and when required.
Required profile
- Grade 12
- Bachelor's degree, major in Public / Municipal administration, Political Science or Civil Engineering
- 5 years of middle management experience in local government or public services
- No criminal record and no previous financial or governance misconduct
Required skills
- Communication and supervisory skills
- Technical knowledge of a municipal environment
- Basic financial accounting
- Insight into financial management systems
