About the role
Pick n Pay’s UIF Skills Programme offers unemployed South African youth a six‑month, paid pathway into retail. Participants rotate through frontline, butchery, bakery and health‑beauty sections, gaining practical experience and industry‑recognised exposure.
Key responsibilities
- Assist customers with product selection and service across multiple store departments.
- Support daily operations in front‑of‑house, butchery, bakery and health‑beauty areas.
- Complete on‑the‑job training modules and online learning components.
- Maintain store standards for cleanliness, safety and merchandising.
Required profile
- Unemployed South African youth aged 18‑40.
- Successful completion of Grade 12 (Matric).
