Tyre Breakdown Controller

About the role

A fast-paced 24/7 fleet tyre support business serving the transport industry across South Africa is looking for a Tyre Breakdown Controller based in Bloemfontein. The role handles customer tyre breakdown requests by dispatching the nearest tyre service provider and keeping communication clear throughout.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and manage customer tyre breakdown requests via WhatsApp.
• Dispatch the nearest tyre service provider to attend to breakdowns.
• Coordinate communication between customers and service providers.
• Follow up on service delivery and ensure breakdowns are resolved efficiently.
• Maintain accurate communication throughout the process.

Required profile

• Fluent in both Afrikaans and English (spoken and written) - non-negotiable.
• Previous experience in the tyre, trucking, transport, logistics or related industry is advantageous.
• Based in or near Bloemfontein is preferred for bi-weekly in-person meetings.
• Ability to work independently from home.

Required skills

• Comfortable using WhatsApp, smartphones and Google Maps.
• Strong telephone manner and communication skills.
