About the role
Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) is offering a two‑year Graduate Development Programme for South African graduates aged 18‑35. The programme provides structured on‑the‑job training and mentorship across various functional areas, aiming to build solid work experience and improve employability.
Key responsibilities
- Rotate through selected depots and departments within TFR to gain practical exposure.
- Participate in six‑monthly assessments to track progress and development.
- Collaborate with teams on business‑related projects and operational tasks.
- Apply academic knowledge to real‑world logistics and transport challenges.
Required profile
- South African citizen with a fully completed bachelor’s degree (LLB, BCom Marketing, Economics, Market Research or related field) at NQF Level 7 or 8.
- Unemployed graduate with no prior work experience in the chosen field.
- Strong integrity, professionalism and a customer‑focused attitude.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Analytical and research capabilities.
