Transportation Manager

About the role

As a Transportation Manager based in Cape Town, you will lead TTEC’s transport function, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable employee travel while fostering strong partnerships with service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily transport operations, including scheduling, routing and vehicle utilization.
• Monitor service performance, conduct corrective actions and manage incident investigations.
• Lead and develop a team of transport coordinators, set objectives and provide coaching.
• Manage relationships with transport service providers, ensuring SLA compliance and conducting regular vendor reviews.
• Ensure compliance with local transport laws and labour regulations.
• Control transport budgets, identify cost‑saving opportunities and report on KPIs.
• Analyse transport data and trends to drive operational efficiency and enhance employee experience.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in transport management, logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in transportation or logistics, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in a BPO, call‑center or 24/7 high‑volume environment is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a data‑driven approach.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment and make well‑informed decisions.
