Transactor

About the role

The Transactor will originate, structure, negotiate and execute lending and structured finance transactions for mid‑market corporate clients. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will manage the full client lifecycle from business development through credit approval, funding and portfolio oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop high‑quality lending opportunities aligned with Merchant West’s strategy and risk appetite.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of bankable transactions through proactive business development and relationship management.
• Prepare term sheets, transaction proposals, credit papers and client presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Design innovative financing structures that meet client needs while satisfying risk, return and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end transaction execution with Credit, Legal, Treasury and external advisers, ensuring accurate documentation and successful financial close.
• Monitor portfolio performance, conduct financial reviews and manage ongoing client relationships.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in corporate lending, structured finance or related financial services.
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities to assess credit risk and financial models.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financing solutions to clients and internal committees.
• Ability to work collaboratively across Credit, Legal, Treasury and operations teams.
